			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Some tools you can’t live without. And, if those tools are small, reliable and accurate, working with them can be a pleasure.</p>
<p>I only switched to Mac less than a year ago. Had a crappy experience with a HP zv5420 laptop and I wanted my next computer to last at least a couple of years and Apple was a paradoxical answer to a feeling of general mistrust of brands.</p>
<p>But&#8230; I really missed my retro version of AcDsee 3.1 for its batch renaming features.<br />
Luckily, I found <a href="http://www.manytricks.com/namemangler/" target="_blank">Name Mangler</a>, a solid batch renamer that works like a charm. It does what it has to, it looks simple and has some good logic you can apply to the renaming process.</p>
<p>Mac fans will scream “Automator!” and I would agree but I like to code some of the things I use but not all of them. NM does the job and keeps the workflow very well.</p>
<p>My greetings to the people of <a href="http://www.manytricks.com" target="_blank">Manytricks</a> for a good piece of software.</p>
