Some tools you can’t live without. And, if those tools are small, reliable and accurate, working with them can be a pleasure.
I only switched to Mac less than a year ago. Had a crappy experience with a HP zv5420 laptop and I wanted my next computer to last at least a couple of years and Apple was a paradoxical answer to a feeling of general mistrust of brands.
But… I really missed my retro version of AcDsee 3.1 for its batch renaming features.
Luckily, I found Name Mangler, a solid batch renamer that works like a charm. It does what it has to, it looks simple and has some good logic you can apply to the renaming process.
Mac fans will scream “Automator!” and I would agree but I like to code some of the things I use but not all of them. NM does the job and keeps the workflow very well.
